Workshop Outline

Day 1: Setting Up a Career Mentoring and Coaching Program

We begin with the basics of career mentoring and coaching, understanding their importance and the impact they can have on organizational culture and individual career paths. Participants will learn how to:

•  Identify the objectives of their mentoring program.
•  Design a structured framework that aligns with their organization’s goals.
•  Match mentors and mentees effectively based on skills, career goals, and personality.
•  Establish clear guidelines and responsibilities for all parties involved.
•  Measure the success of the program through feedback and performance indicators.

Day 2: Equipping Mentors and Coaches

On the second day, the focus shifts to the participants themselves — how they can become effective mentors or coaches. Through role-play, case studies, and group discussions, participants will explore:

•  Key mentoring and coaching techniques to facilitate professional growth.
•  Strategies for building trust and maintaining a productive mentor-mentee/ coach-coachee relationship.
•  Overcoming common challenges in mentoring/ coaching relationships.
•  Setting realistic goals and developing action plans.
•  Continuous learning and adaptation for both mentors/ coaches and mentees/ coachees to ensure ongoing relevance and effectiveness of the mentoring/ coaching relationship.
