KEN TAN

Ken is known for using a person-centered approach to help his clients address specific career issues. Armed with more than a decade of experience in the specialized field of career development, Ken has successfully coached early career starters, leaders and Specialists across Asia and Europe. He co-worked with them to map their profile and innate KSAs (knowledge, strengths, abilities) for better-informed decision making based on a set of objectives.

Ken delivers application-based workshops on career planning, employability, elevator pitches and soft skills. His clientele includes SIM University, Nanyang Technological University, PSB Academy, James Cook University, Nanyang Polytechnic, National Library SG, Nuren Group etc.

Formerly, Ken was a Senior Business Development Manager for more than 13 years. With his business acumen and abilities, he closed deals with SOEs, multinationals, conglomerates, and SMEs across multi-industries in 14 countries. He won the “Most Dedicated Sales Staff of the Year” award in 2010 and 2011. He was asked to train and mentor members of the team in consultative selling, presentation, and negotiation techniques.

He was also appointed as a former Council Member for CDAS – Career Development Association of Singapore, and currently a member for CDI UK, CDAA and APCDA.  His articles on career development solutions, employability and workplace management are featured in newsletters. Ken has also been asked to speak on topics relating to career planning and models used for best-in-class talent development practices within organizations and institutions in SE Asia.
